The fleeing echoes of the night vanish with the rise of the morning sun, as mighty King Dadon rides proudly toward the spellbound gates of the kingdom. Mysterious beauty, the Queen of Shamakha sits by his side. Her enchanting charms and gaze conquer hearts and souls, dramatically changing fates forever. Like a pearly vision of the skies, the wise astrologer appears before the ruler demanding the King's royal promise. The Queen is his hearts desire. Blazing, the magical Golden Rooster, perched high atop a spear, awaits his moment to proclaim justice.

The original creative composition "The Golden Rooster" came to life from the imagination of Elena Vladimir Baranoff. The painting is centralized around the four main characters of the story and their dynamic relationships: the magical Golden Rooster, the mighty Ruler, the mysterious Queen of Shamakha, and the wise Astrologer.

Painted in the artist's signature technique of genuine egg tempera, the work of art embodies the fantastical nature of the fairy tale in a truly original vision of the artist.

Inspired by the great literary works of Alexander Pushkin, Washington Irving, and opera of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Elena Vladimir Baranoff created her very own vision of the mesmerizing tale of "The Golden Rooster", a story of power, bewitching love, magic and a broken promise.
